Local History Room staff have collected newspaper clippings and miscellaneous ephemera on various subjects regarding Barberton history and nearby history for over 30 years. These materials have been organized and stored by subject in folders in a vertical file. This collection continues to evolve as new materials are added. Included are black and white photographs of classic automobiles from a parade held in Norton in the 1950's. The cars all have signs reading "1953 Glidden Tour." The Glidden Tours are long distance parades of classic automobiles that travel through towns. |
